Top Ten Tuesday – Unread Classics (Feb 3)

TTT3WTop Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week a different topic is posted inviting the participants to come up with a list of ten things to do with the topic.

This week’s topic is ‘Top Ten Books I Can’t Believe I Haven’t/Want To Read From X Genre’. I joined The Classics Club a couple of years ago in order to try and read some of the classics that remain unread on my shelves, so I’ve decided to choose unread classics for this week’s Top Ten. All of the books I’ve chosen are from the list of 50 I chose for the club, but still haven’t got round to reading!

  1. The Lost World – Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
  2. Silence – Shusaku Endo
  3. Around the World in 80 Days – Jules Verne
  4. Rob Roy – Sir Walter Scott
  5. The Time Machine – H.G. Wells
  6. The Catcher in the Rye – J.D. Salinger
  7. Sense and Sensibility – Jane Austen
  8. Red Badge of Courage – Stephen Crane
  9. Never Cry Wolf – Farley Mowat
  10. Fathers and Sons – Ivan Turgenev

I have until the end of 2017 to complete my list of fifty. I’ll need to get a move on as to date I’ve only read eight out of the fifty.
