Teaser Tuesdays – Unholy Night (Sept. 17)

tteTeaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Here are my teasers for this week:

unholy nightAs if answering Herod’s thoughts, Balthazar did something completely unexpected and undignified as he took the platform. Something completely incongruous with the legend he’d cultivated, and far more embarrassing than struggling against his bonds.

From pages 115-6 of Unholy Night by Seth Grahame Smith.

    • The book is a different spin on the three wise men of the Bible, asking the question ‘What if they were petty, murderous thieves – on the run, escaping through Judea under cover of night?’ It has been quite funny so far and I should be finished it by the end of the week. Thanks for visiting and I’m off to check your TT post now.
