Saturday Snapshot – Visitors (November 10)

Hungry Birds

“Are you lookin’ at me?”

We were surprised on Thursday and Friday this week to see the Bohemian waxwings feeding on the berries on the tree in our front yard. Usually we don’t see them until early in the new year. The tree is pretty bare now, so I don’t think we’ll see them again this year.

  1. Cedar waxwings are one of my favorite birds to see … love when a flock lands in the juniper bush … the entire bush shudders with them tugging away the juniper berries! They eat and …zip… they’re gone! You got great shots!

    • Thanks. ‘O Brother Where Art Thou’ is one of my all-time favourite movies and it feels sometimes that we live in the middle of nowhere, but we wouldn’t have it any other way!
