WWW Wednesdays (July 4)

To play along with this weekly book event, hosted by Should Be Reading, just answer the following three (3) questions…

• What are you currently reading?
• What did you recently finish reading?
• What do you think you’ll read next?

This week’s answers:

What are you currently reading? I am currently reading The Light Between Oceans by M.L. Stedman. I’m reading an ARC of this book, which is the debut novel of its writer. It is set in Australia in the 1920’s and is a very intriguing tale that explores the consequences of a decision made out of desperation in the isolation of a remote lighthouse station. I am enjoying it so far and will have to stay up late tonight to get it done, because I really want to see where it ends up.

What did you recently finish reading? I have finished three books since my last WWW: The Wars (Timothy Findley), The Reluctant Journal of Henry K. Larsen (Susin Nielsen), and The Twilight Zone: The Odyssey of Flight 33 (Rod Sterling). They were all good in their own way and I think that the Susin Nielsen one is going to be a popular teen choice in years to come.

What do you think you’ll read next? I have a couple of ARCs that I want to read: Mik Murdoch: Boy Superhero (Michell Plested) and Who Is Jesus?: Linking the Historical Jesus With the Christ of Faith (Darrell L. Bock).
