Booking Through Thursday – Siblings (3 May)

Today Booking Through Thursday asks the following question:

Do you have siblings? Do they like to read?

Quite an easy question this week. I have one sister, who is a little bit older than me. I know she likes to read, but I’m not exactly sure what she is reading these days, because we live on different continents. I remember when we were growing up that she really like Agatha Christie and she had a lot of books about the British Royalty. Round about the same time I was really into Stephen King. We grew up in a house where reading was encouraged and it seems that we also passed that joy of reading onto our respective families, too, as my children are never without a book to read and I know that any time I have seen her children they seem to have not been far from a book as well.

    1. Yeah. We don’t see too much of each other these days. Facebook helps us keep up with each other, though.

  1. So nice to hear about your reading children. One of our nieces just had her birthday and wanted books. Pleased the aunt immensely.
My siblings and I have different reading habits.

    1. We have literally thousands of books in our house and one of our favourite family activities is book shopping, especially used bookstores.

  2. Maybe you can get her to join Goodreads and share book recommendations with you!

    1. Good idea, thanks. Might try that.
